Crane Watching on the Platte River in Nebraska

Four Guests will experience one of the greatest wildlife spectacles in North America, this gathering of cranes is the largest in the world.
Every March, over 600,000 Sandhill Cranes converge on the Platte River valley in central Nebraska to fuel up before continuing north to their nesting grounds. Audubon’s Rowe Sanctuary is at the heart of this magnificent crane staging area. Rowe Sanctuary offers guided tours to view the spectacular concentrations of Sandhill Cranes on their evening river roosts. Guests can view the cranes returning to or leaving the river and learn about our ongoing efforts to protect America’s Great Migration.
Four guests will enjoy three days and two nights lodging in Kearney, NE and experience America’s Greatest Migration from the viewing blinds at Rowe Sanctuary. Guests will be able to schedule as many morning and evening viewing experiences throughout their stay as they wish. Tours are scheduled each morning and evening at 6:00am and 6:00pm. During their stay the guests can explore, on their own, the surrounding area during the day to see cranes and many other waterfowl and other birds in the nearby rainwater basins.
Available March 7, 2020 through April 11, 2020. Reservations must be made by December 20, 2019 to ensure availability. After January 2, 2020 the reservations are open to the public and availability becomes first come first served. Airfare NOT Included.

Ride ‘Em Cowboy

Located along the Blackfoot River Valley in the Rocky Mountains of western Montana, the location is a little farther back, from the hi-ways and by-ways and the much-famed beaten track, with a wilderness to join you full of elk, bear, goat, and deer, and where the mountain streams come tumbling in a rush to reappear.
Prepare for a six (6)-day Adventure Ranch Vacation at Rich’s Montana Guest Ranch near Seeley Lake, Montana. Two (2) guests will enjoy meals, lodging, horseback riding, fishing, Garnet Ghost Town tour,
wagon ride, campfire entertainment, and all of the scheduled activities and amenities of the ranch. The highlight of the week will be a horseback trip up to the alpine lakes at the edge of the spectacular
Bob Marshall Wilderness. This gift certificate is good through September 2020.
Airfare NOT included.

Be A Guest in Your Own Home
A sumptuous brunch for 8-10 guests, including the hosts, will be prepared, set out, & cleaned up by Mary Lee Berger-Hughes & Martha Murray, two women who definitely know their way around food.
Prior to her retirement, Berger-Hughes had a long career in event planning that included working as the Director of Catering at the Kennedy Center and a stint at New York City-based Glorious Foods, the go to caterers for corporate and society functions in New York & Washington DC. Although she is not a trained chef, she worked side-by-side with some of the best in the business. Her credits include formal & informal affairs for presidents, vice presidents, diplomats, members of the English royal family, & movie stars. She has endless stories, that she just might be persuaded to share with you & your guests.
Prior to coming to the Eastern Shore, Martha Murray worked as an Institutional Equity trader and Managing Director for 24 years, at Merrill Lynch, Alex Brown, and Wachovia Securities. She currently works as the Business Manager for Bountiful Interiors in Easton. Her real love has always been food and entertaining, however, and she set out to learn as much as she could about both. Martha describes herself as an Ina Garten wanna-be, but friends who’ve been lucky enough to share her food know that she’s the real deal.

In consultation with the hosts, Mary Lee & Martha will prepare and present an expansive brunch in keeping with the season. When your guests go home, the pair will take charge of cleanup while you relax and bask in the glow of a satisfying afternoon, elegantly spent.
